What is a phrasal verb? VERB + PREPOSITION

Cover Up
This means to hide something!!
Think about the physical meaning first...
A dog hides a bone in the ground.
He covers it up!!
Note: When I change the object
from the noun "bone" to "it," I move
the object in between the verb and
the preposition!!
Sounds hard...but, it's not!!
"The dog covered up the bone."
"The dog covered it up."
Information
We also can cover up information!
The government hides information, right?
"The government covered up the murder of Marylin Monroe."
"Have you ever tried to cover up information from your past?" ^ ^
Some phrasal verbs can be used
as nouns! Check this out:
"There was a cover up after 911."
"Government cover ups are cool stories
to research on the internet."
