English
on
Twitter
じゃあ、
Hey, how is everything today??
Do you have holiday plans?
I am having a lovely cookie
and, of course, a big chai tea
while writing today's post!!!
Remember:
While goes with verbs
During goes with nouns
"I love to listen to music
while running."
"I love to listen to music
during class."
*verb: 動詞
noun: 名詞
English on Twitter
This technology is providing
an interesting environment
to learn English
in an interactive way!!!
Many teachers have formed
and provide cool opportunities
for foreigners!!
Some will answer your
questions and some
will correct your sentences for you!
*environment: 環境
interactive: 双方向の
provide: 提供する
opportunity: 機会
Jukugocafe
One of the more interesting
Twitter Teachers, he provides
what seems like 24 hour service
for ESL learners!!!
*ESL: English as a Second Language
He is tireless!
This is a phrase that
describes someone that
never seems to get tired!!
"She is a tireless worker."
"He has been tireless in
his efforts to succeed."
*tireless: 疲れを知らない、精力的な
get tired: 疲れる
describe: 表す
effort: 努力
Jukugocafe has a fun website
that often offers lessons
as well as cool games!
I just joined the
"Desert Survival Game" myself and
look forward to slaughtering the competition!
In other words,
winning gracefully!!!
*slaughter: 打ちのめす
competition: 競争
gracefully: 優雅に

AmericanAnthony
Anthony runs a cool site as well as
helping Twitter Users learn slang!!!
His tag line is
"tweet like an American."
Most Japanese tend
to disregard the use
of slang, but that
would be a mistake!!
The use of slang
in America is essential!!!
Formality can be
an obstacle when
communicating with
Americans!!
It's hard for
Americans to trust
people who are
constantly formal!
We think they
might be hiding something!!
*disregard: ~を軽視する
essential: 必要不可欠な
formality: 形式ばること
obstacle: 障害
constantly: 常に、一貫して

New York is large
and very fast paced!

are always welcome!!
I would also like to
mention my friend and
actor David Brown!!!
David has yet
to join Twitter, but
I'm going to work
on him!!

and I recommend you to

David Brown
英語でこれなんていう???
スモークフィルム
Tinted Windows
We can call glass smokey,
but this is different
from the dark color
of tinted windows!!!
My car in college
had tinted windows!
I got pulled
over a lot because
of it!
To be pulled over
means to get in trouble
with the police while driving!!!
"Cars have tinted windows."
"Glass can be tinted."
"Sun glasses are tinted."
*tinted: 色のついた
pull over: 車を片側に寄せる、停止させる
"Pull it over." 「車を止めて」
NY Eigo is now on Youtube!!!
You can catch videos before
they are posted here as well
as other non-ESL related videos.
