are invasive animals.

They like to eat people's food!!!
They invade homes!




Plants can be invasive too!!!

Have you ever heard of Kudzu??? 葛(くず)

In America, it sounds like "カッッドズゥ (ku'dzu)."

This is a plant that
comes from Japan.
It was brought to
the southern part
of the United States
around 1935.

Farmers were encouraged to plant it.
It would help with soil erosion, however
there were many bad effects!!!

They can't stop it!!!


It is growing at
a rate of 150,000
acres
a year!!!


It's a very invasive plant. It invades new
areas rapidly. The south was a perfect
environment for it because it's hot
and humid with very mild winters.

This is called "the plant that ate the south."
