Culture ~The key to having fun!~Murphy\'s Law (マーフィーの法則)& 本気で教えて!_f0212156_1536182.jpg

Murphy's law

Murphy's Law is the belief that "if it can go wrong,
it will go wrong."

This of course is a very negative mind-set, but since we did
positivity, we should explore negativity as well.

There is nothing new under the sun

This is an old expression that means that there is really nothing
new
in life. Whatever you do or say has been done before a long
time ago.

034.gifI think this is somewhat of a negative way to be.
It seems to create apathy.

Apathy is when people don't care about what happens.
Apathetic is the adjective form.

"He is so apathetic. I always try to get him
interested in things, but he just doesn't care."

"When I am hung over, I usually feel apathetic."

"Apathy is a big problem in the world."

Cynical

This is an adjective that describes people that
don't believe things easily.

They choose to believe that generally things don't
work out well. They also choose to believe that people are basically
bad and selfish and will always act that way.

"She is so cynical."
"His answers are always so cynical."
"That book was very cynical."

Worry Wart

This is a person that worries all the time!!!

A wart is something that can grow on a person's body.
They usually grow on the feet or hands. A wart is a bothersome
thing and nobody likes them, so this is why we say "worry wart."
The person's negativity and worrying make everyone else worry
and the person generally is not fun to be around.

"Parents tend to be worry warts by nature."

"Don't be a worry wart, it doesn't look good on you."

"She used to be a worry wart, but these days
she is much more easy going."

Bitter

People who really believe in Murphy's law tend to
be bitter!

034.gifThis word describes people who have become negative
because of bad experiences!!

"She has become bitter because
she has only dated bad guys."

"Work has made him bitter."

"He is the most bitter person ever."

"I don't want your polite answer, please speak from the heart."

I'm going to watch "Shall We Dance" tonight.

"If there is any way to do it wrong, he will."

"The unexpected happens, and you'd better prepare (be ready) for it."

"The bread never falls but on its butteredside."

This is Murphy's law!"
